FAQs

Here are some commonly asked questions. If the answer to your question is not listed here, please let us know and we will try to help.

Q. How long will the Cinch stick to a can?

A. The Cinch should last as long as you own the can. The adhesive can take up to 24 hours after application to fully cure, but the Cinch can be used immediately, under normal conditions, if applied to a clean, dry surface.

Q. Will the Cinch work on round cans?

A. Yes. The Cinch will stick to any shaped container.

Q. Do I need to do anything special before applying the Cinch?

A. Make sure the surface you are applying the Cinch to is clean and dry. We also recommend that the area where the Cinch is to be placed is rubbed with and isopropyl alcohol to remove the oily release agent residue that is often found on plastic containers.

Q. Does the Cinch come in different colors?

A. Yes – Currently white, beige and black and putty. Please specify your color choice when ordering.

Q. How fast will the Cinch pay for itself?

A. It all depends on how often you change liners and the labor rate you are paying. Typically, a Cinch will pay for itself in fewer than forty liner changes. You can determine your return on investment by using our Savings Calculator.

Q. Does the Cinch have any other uses?

A. Yes. You can view a few in the Other Uses area of this website. If you find other uses, let us know.

Q. Can I stack cans if they have Cinches on them?

A. Yes - you will be able to stack most cans if the Cinch is properly installed just under the rim. Many users have told us the Cinch makes cans easier to unstack because the Cinch prevents a vacuum effect.

Q. Can I still wash my trashcans with Cinches on them?

A. Yes - most cleaning methods will not affect the Cinch. Keep in mind that the adhesive is rubber based, so extremely hot temperatures and some chemicals could affect the bond. You may want to test the method of cleaning you use on one or two cans before cleaning them all.

Q. Do Cinches work on both high and low density liners?

A. Yes. Cinches work on all sizes and types of liners.

Q. How do Cinches save money?

A. Cinches make liner changes easier and faster. On average Cinches save 5 seconds per liner change versus tying knots. Time is money.

Cinches can also offset the rising costs of plastic liners by reducing the amount of "overlining" often used to hang over the rim.

Cinches will also save you the clean-up time associated with cave-ins by stopping them from happening in the first place.
